Hanuman, a courageous and mighty elephant among the monkeys uprooted a mountain peak along with its animals, serpents and trees and killed both the demon generals.
Dharma here appears as resolute protection of a righteous mission: Hanumān uses overwhelming strength not for cruelty, but to remove violent obstruction to Rāma’s cause.
In Laṅkā, Hanumān fights rākṣasa forces; he uproots a mountain peak and uses it as a weapon to kill two rākṣasas in battle.
Vīrya (heroic valor) and niścaya (firm resolve) in service of dharma.
