śroṇisūtreṇa mahatā mecakena susaṁvṛtaḥ | amṛtotpādanaddhena bhujagen eva mandaraḥ ||

ತೊಡೆಯ ಸುತ್ತ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಕಪ್ಪು ಶ್ರೋಣಿಸೂತ್ರದಿಂದ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅವನು, ಅಮೃತೋತ್ಪಾದನೆಗಾಗಿ ಸಮುದ್ರಮಂಥನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಕೆಯಾದ ವಾಸುಕಿನಾಗದಿಂದ ಆವರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮಂದರಪರ್ವತದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
