वर्णनम् / Sītā’s Distress and Rāvaṇa’s Attempt at Coercive Allurement
एकया दीर्घया वेण्या शोभमानामयत्नतः।नीलया नीरदापाये वनराज्या महीमिव।।।।
ekayā dīrghayā veṇyā śobhamānām ayatnataḥ |
nīlayā nīradāpāye vanarājyā mahīm iva ||
ಒಂದೇ ದೀರ್ಘ ವೇಣಿಯಿಂದ, ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಶೋಭಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು; ಮಳೆ ತೊಲಗಿದ ಬಳಿಕದ ಭೂಮಿಯಂತೆ—ವನರಾಜಿಯ ಒಂದು ನೀಲಿ ರೇಖೆಯಿಂದ ಗುರುತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ.
