ततो मलिनसंवीतां राक्षसीभिस्समावृताम्।।।।उपवासकृशां दीनां निश्श्वसन्तीं पुनः पुनः।ददर्श शुक्लपक्षादौ चन्द्ररेखामिवामलाम्।।।।

Transliteration

tato malinasaṃvītāṃ rākṣasībhiḥ samāvṛtām |

upavāsakṛśāṃ dīnāṃ niśśvasantīṃ punaḥ punaḥ |

dadarśa śuklapakṣādau candrarekhām ivāmalām || 5.15.19 ||

Translation

ನಂತರ ಅವನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು—ಮಲಿನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಆವೃತಳಾಗಿ, ರಾಕ್ಷಸಿಯರಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದಳಾಗಿ; ಉಪವಾಸದಿಂದ ಕೃಶಳಾಗಿ, ದೀನಳಾಗಿ, ಮರುಮರು ನಿಶ್ವಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು—ಶುಕ್ಲಪಕ್ಷದ ಆರಂಭದ ಚಂದ್ರರೇಖೆಯಂತೆ ನಿರ್ಮಲ-ಮಂದವಾಗಿ.
