O! Son, all these seven are my sons of celestial beauty. They will become pesiding deities for Vata Skandha (divisions of wind) and let them be well-known as maruts wandering in the universe.
A dharmic response to suffering: blessing and assigning purpose, so that loss becomes service within the cosmic order.
Diti specifies how the seven should exist—moving in the heavens as wind-hosts and being known as the Maruts.
Benevolence—Diti speaks as a mother who confers dignity and divine function upon her offspring.
