इत्युक्त्वा परुषं वाक्यं रावणश्शत्रुरावणः।राक्षसीश्च ततः क्रुद्ध इदं वचनमब्रवीत्।।।।
ity uktvā paruṣaṃ vākyaṃ rāvaṇaḥ śatrurāvaṇaḥ |
rākṣasīś ca tataḥ kruddha idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||
ಆ ಕಠೋರ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ, ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳಿಸುವ ರಾವಣನು ಕ್ರೋಧಗೊಂಡು, ನಂತರ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಿಯರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
