काञ्चनं रथमास्थाय कामगं रत्नभूषितम्।पिशाचवदनैर्युक्तं खरैः काञ्चनभूषणैः।।।।मेघप्रतिमनादेन स तेन धनदानुजः।राक्षसाधिपतिश्श्रीमान्ययौ नदनदीपतिम्।।।।
kāñcanaṃ ratham āsthāya kāmagaṃ ratnabhūṣitam |
piśācavadanair yuktaṃ kharaiḥ kāñcanabhūṣaṇaiḥ ||
meghapratimanādena sa tena dhanadānujaḥ |
rākṣasādhipatiḥ śrīmān yayau nadanadīpatim ||
ಇಚ್ಛಾನುಸಾರ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ, ರತ್ನಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಾಞ್ಚನ ರಥವನ್ನು ಏರಿ—ಪಿಶಾಚಮುಖಗಳೂ ಕಾಞ್ಚನಾಭರಣಧಾರಿಗಳೂ ಆದ ಖರಗಳಿಂದ ಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ—ಮೇಘಗರ್ಜನೆಯಂತೆ ನಾದಮಾಡುತ್ತ, ಧನದನ ಅನುಜನಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಾಧಿಪತಿ ರಾವಣನು ನದೀಪತಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
