Akampana Reports Janasthana; Ravana Plans Sita’s Abduction
वीरः पृथुयशाश्श्रीमानतुल्यबलविक्रमः।हतं तेन जनस्थानं खरश्च सह दूषणः।।3.31.11।।
vīraḥ pṛthu-yaśāḥ śrīmān atulya-bala-vikramaḥ |
hataṃ tena janasthānaṃ kharaś ca saha dūṣaṇaḥ ||
ಅವನು ವಿಶಾಲ ಯಶಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳ ವೀರನು, ಶ್ರೀಮಂತನು, ಅತুল್ಯ ಬಲ-ವಿಕ್ರಮವಂತನು; ಅವನಿಂದ ಜನಸ್ಥಾನ ನಾಶವಾಯಿತು, ಖರನೂ ದೂಷಣನೊಡನೆ ಸಂಹೃತನಾದನು.
He is a hero of great fame and unequal prowess. He has destroyed your Janasthana and also Khara along with Dusana.
Dharma is shown as effective, not merely ideal: righteous resistance can dismantle entrenched terror. The fall of Khara’s regime indicates that adharmic power is not invincible.
Akampana reports the military disaster to Ravana: Rama has annihilated Janasthana and killed Khara and Dushana.
