ब्रह्मोवाच । उत्तमं सर्वक्षेत्राणां पुण्यमेतद्भविष्यति । नित्यं पुष्पफलोपेता नित्यसुस्थिरयौवनाः
brahmovāca | uttamaṃ sarvakṣetrāṇāṃ puṇyametadbhaviṣyati | nityaṃ puṣpaphalopetā nityasusthirayauvanāḥ
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಇದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಪರಮ ಪುಣ್ಯತೀರ್ಥವಾಗುವುದು. ಇದು ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಪುಷ್ಪ-ಫಲಗಳಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯೌವನವು ಸದಾ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ಅಜರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ।

It presents a clear ranking motif common in Purāṇic sacred geography: a particular kṣetra is praised as “uttama”—the foremost among all holy places—because of its enduring sanctity and life-giving qualities.
By describing the kṣetra as perpetually endowed with flowers and fruits, the verse links spiritual merit (puṇya) with continuous natural abundance, portraying holiness as something that sustains and beautifies the environment.
The verse encourages reverence for pilgrimage places as living sacred spaces—worthy of protection and worship—since their “puṇya” is portrayed as stable and ever-present, not temporary or dependent on human praise.
