यावज्जीवाम्यहं तात जरां तावद्धराम्यहम् । एवमुक्तस्तु तेनापि पूरुणा जगतीपतिः
yāvajjīvāmyahaṃ tāta jarāṃ tāvaddharāmyaham | evamuktastu tenāpi pūruṇā jagatīpatiḥ
ಹೇ ತಾತಾ! ನಾನು ಜೀವಿಸುವವರೆಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಕಾಲ ಜರೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಧರಿಸುವೆನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಪೂರುನು ಕೂಡ ಜಗತೀಪತಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
