उभाभ्यामपि तत्पापं पितृभ्यामपि विंदति । तस्मान्न धार्यते कन्या समर्था निजमंदिरे

ಆ ಪಾಪವು ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆ; ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗೂ ಅದು ಬಾಧೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಮರ್ಥಳಾದರೂ ಕನ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ (ಅವಿವಾಹಿತವಾಗಿ) ತಡೆದು ಇಡಬಾರದು.
