FAQs

It asserts a dharma-ideal in which a wife is expected to remain aligned with her husband as a constant companion, presenting this as supported by Vedic authority.

To ground the instruction in śāstra-pramāṇa (scriptural authority), claiming the norm is “seen in the Vedas” and therefore not merely social convention.

That household life is governed by fidelity and companionship duties; the verse frames deviation from this ideal as blameworthy and socially disapproved by the virtuous.
