वेदशर्मा समानीतस्तं पुत्रं प्रगृहाण भोः । शिवशर्मा ततो हृष्टो भक्तिं विज्ञाय तस्य च
vedaśarmā samānītastaṃ putraṃ pragṛhāṇa bhoḥ | śivaśarmā tato hṛṣṭo bhaktiṃ vijñāya tasya ca
ವೇದಶರ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಗನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕರೆತಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ.” ಆಗ ಶಿವಶರ್ಮನು ಅವನ ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ಹರ್ಷಿತನಾದನು.
