वसुरुवाच । श्रृणु वक्ष्यामि सुभगे क्षारत्वं चास्य वारिधेः । यथा प्राप्तः पुरासीच्च मात्रास्य जगतामपि ॥ २३ ॥
vasuruvāca | śrṛṇu vakṣyāmi subhage kṣāratvaṃ cāsya vāridheḥ | yathā prāptaḥ purāsīcca mātrāsya jagatāmapi || 23 ||
ವಸು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಸुभಗೇ, ಕೇಳು; ಈ ವಾರಿಧಿಯ ಕ್ಷಾರತ್ವವು ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾಯಿತೋ ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವೆನು, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜಗತ್ತುಗಳ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನೂ ವಿವರಿಸುವೆನು॥೨૩॥
