मार्कण्डेयह्रदे त्वेवं स्नात्वा दृष्ट्वा च शंकरम् । दशानामश्वमेधानां फलं प्राप्नोति मानवः ॥ २० ॥
mārkaṇḍeyahrade tvevaṃ snātvā dṛṣṭvā ca śaṃkaram | daśānāmaśvamedhānāṃ phalaṃ prāpnoti mānavaḥ || 20 ||
ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಕಂಡೇಯ ಹ್ರದದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಶಂಕರನ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹತ್ತು ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧ ಯಾಗಗಳ ಫಲದಷ್ಟು ಪುಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
