The Words of Yama
तारयेत्स उभौ पक्षौ यत्पिंडो यस्य विग्रहः । न भार्याया भवेद्वीजं न भार्या कुक्षिधारिणी ॥ १८ ॥
tārayetsa ubhau pakṣau yatpiṃḍo yasya vigrahaḥ | na bhāryāyā bhavedvījaṃ na bhāryā kukṣidhāriṇī || 18 ||
ಅವನೇ ಎರಡೂ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು—ಪಿತೃಪಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತಾನಪಕ್ಷ—ತಾರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇಹವು ಆ ಪಿಂಡತತ್ತ್ವದಿಂದಲೇ ರೂಪುಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಪತ್ನಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೀಜವಿಲ್ಲ; ಪತ್ನಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಗರ್ಭಧಾರಿಣಿ ಕುಕ್ಷಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ॥೧೮॥
