The Discourse of Rukmāṅgada
Prabodhinī Ekādaśī, Kārtika-vrata, and Satya-dharma
तद्विद्वांश्चारुनयने कथं भोक्ष्यामि पातकम् । मोहिन्युवाच । एकभुक्तेन नक्तेन तथैवायाचितेन च ॥ ७४ ॥
tadvidvāṃścārunayane kathaṃ bhokṣyāmi pātakam | mohinyuvāca | ekabhuktena naktena tathaivāyācitena ca || 74 ||
ಆಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಓ ಸುಂದರನೇತ್ರೆಯೇ! ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೂ ಈ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ?” ಮೋಹಿನಿ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದಳು—“ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಭೋಜನ (ಏಕಭುಕ್ತ), ನಕ್ತವ್ರತ (ರಾತ್ರಿ ಭೋಜನ), ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬೇಡದೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ಅನ್ನವನ್ನೇ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವುದು।”
