Matsya Purana — The Strategy to Defeat Tāraka: Pārvatī’s Birth, Shloka 29

न तु वेत्सि चराचरभूतगतं भवभावमतीव महानुच्छ्रितः प्रभवः / पुनरर्थिवचो ऽभिविस्तृतश्रवणोपमकौतुकभावकृतः //

na tu vetsi carācarabhūtagataṃ bhavabhāvamatīva mahānucchritaḥ prabhavaḥ / punararthivaco 'bhivistṛtaśravaṇopamakautukabhāvakṛtaḥ //

ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಚರಾಚರ ಭೂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿರುವ ‘ಭವ’ದ ಗಂಭೀರ ಸ್ವಭಾವವನ್ನು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅತಿಮಹಾನ್, ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಪ್ರಭವ (ಮೂಲೋತ್ಪತ್ತಿ)ವನ್ನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅರ್ಥಿಯ ವಚನಗಳಿಂದ ಪುನಃ ಪ್ರೇರಿತನಾಗಿ, ವಿಸ್ಮಯಭಾವದಿಂದ, ಶ್ರೋತೃನ ಶ್ರವಣವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವಂತೆ ತೋರುವ ವಿಶದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು.
