This verse does not discuss pralaya; it focuses on ritual offerings (naivedya/dāna) prescribed for specific planetary deities.
It presents a practical dharmic duty: making prescribed offerings to the grahas for well-being and harmony, a common householder and royal responsibility within Purāṇic ritual ethics.
The significance is ritual: it assigns specific food offerings to particular grahas as part of Navagraha worship and graha-śānti procedures.
