*ईश्वर उवाच तस्मिन्नेव युगे ब्रह्मन् सहस्राणि तु षोडश वासुदेवस्य नारीणां भविष्यन्त्यम्बुजोद्भव //

Transliteration

*īśvara uvāca tasminneva yuge brahman sahasrāṇi tu ṣoḍaśa vāsudevasya nārīṇāṃ bhaviṣyantyambujodbhava //

Translation

ಈಶ್ವರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ್, ಹೇ ಅಂಬುಜೋದ್ಭವ! ಅದೇ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸುದೇವನಿಗೆ ಹದಿನಾರು ಸಾವಿರ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು (ಪತ್ನಿಯರು) ಇರುವರು.
