Adhyaya 91 — The Gods’ Hymn to Kātyāyanī and the Goddess’ Prophecy of Future Manifestations
śrīdevy uvāca vaivasvate 'ntare prāpte aṣṭāviṃśatime yuge /
śumbho niśumbhaś caivānyāv utpatsyete mahāsurau
Adharma recurs cyclically, but so does divine correction. The verse teaches historical patience: cosmic order is maintained across time through periodic manifestations of protective power.
Directly touches Manvantara (period of a Manu) and time-cycles, thus aligning with the Manvantara characteristic within the Purāṇic framework.
The ‘28th yuga’ marker encodes the doctrine of recurring inner crises: at certain maturations of time/karma, specific ‘asuric’ patterns arise; the same Śakti re-manifests as the corrective intelligence.
