मानुषा मनुजव्याघ्र साभिलाषाः सुतान् प्रति ।
लोभात्प्रत्युपकाराय नन्वेतान् किं न पश्यसि ॥
mānuṣā manujavyāghra sābhilāṣāḥ sutān prati / lobhāt pratyupakārāya nanv etān kiṃ na paśyasi
ಹೇ ನರವ್ಯಾಘ್ರ! ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಆಸೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ, ಲೋಭವಶವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ ಹೇಗೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

Even socially valued bonds (parental affection) can become binding when mixed with expectation and greed. Dharma refines affection into responsibility without possessiveness.
