Adhyaya 46 — Cosmic Dissolution, the Emergence of Brahma, and the Measures of Time (Yugas, Manvantaras, and Brahma’s Day)
तत्प्रमाणैव सा रात्रिस्तदन्ते सृज्यते पुनः ।
एवंतु ब्रह्मणो वर्षमेकं वर्षशतन्तु तत् ॥
tat-pramāṇaiva sā rātris tad-ante sṛjyate punaḥ | evaṃ tu brahmaṇo varṣam ekaṃ varṣa-śataṃ tu tat ||
ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೂ ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದದು; ಅದರ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ; ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಚಕ್ರವು ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
