तस्मिंस्तस्मिंस्तु तन्मात्रं तेन तन्मात्रता स्मृता ।
अविशेषवाचकत्वादविशेषास्ततः च ते ॥
tasmiṃstasmiṃstu tanmātraṃ tena tanmātratā smṛtā / aviśeṣavācakatvādaviśeṣāstataśca te
ಪ್ರತಿ ತತ್ತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ತತ್ತ್ವವಿದೆ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ‘ತನ್ಮಾತ್ರತ್ವ’ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವು ಅವಿಶೇಷ (ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತ)ವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಆ ತನ್ಮಾತ್ರಗಳು ‘ಅವಿಶೇಷ’ವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತವೆ.
