Adhyaya 38 — Dattatreya on Non-Identification (Mamata) and the Path to Liberation
मार्जारभक्षिते दुःखं यादृशं गृहकुक्कुटे ।
न तादृङ्ममताशून्ये कलविङ्केऽथ मूषिके ॥
mārjārabhakṣite duḥkhaṃ yādṛśaṃ gṛhakukkuṭe |
na tādṛṅ mamatāśūnye kalaviṅke 'tha mūṣike ||
ಗೃಹಸ್ಥನ ಕೋಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಕ್ಕು ತಿಂದಾಗ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಶೋಕ, ಗುಬ್ಬಚ್ಚಿ ಅಥವಾ ಇಲಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ‘ನನ್ನದು’ ಎಂಬ ಭಾವವಿಲ್ಲ।
