Misuse of the senses becomes the cause of suffering through those very senses. The repeated regrowth signifies recurring experience of consequence until the karmic debt is exhausted.
Ethical instruction (ācāra/dharma) presented through naraka-varṇana; it supports Purāṇic didactic aims rather than sarga/pratisarga/vaṃśa/manvantara/vaṃśānucarita directly.
The ‘vajra-beak’ suggests irresistible karmic law (ṛta). The cyclical tearing and regrowth mirrors cyclic saṃskāras: repeated indulgence creates repeated pain until insight and restraint arise.
