न देवितव्यं हृष्टेन कितवेनेति न: श्रुतम् त॑ त्वामद्य मुदा युक्त नाहं देवितुमुत्सहे । प्रियं तु ते चिकीर्षामि वर्ततां यदि मन्यसे
na devitavyaṃ hṛṣṭena kitaveneti naḥ śrutam | taṃ tvām adya mudā yukta nāhaṃ devitum utsahe | priyaṃ tu te cikīrṣāmi vartatāṃ yadi manyase |
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಕುತಂತ್ರಿ ಜೂಜುಗಾರನು ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮದಗೊಂಡಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೂಜಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇಂದು ನೀವೂ ಆನಂದದಿಂದ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಾಶೆ ಆಡುವ ಧೈರ್ಯ ನನಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದುದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ—ನಿಮಗೆ ಯುಕ್ತವೆನಿಸಿದರೆ ಆಟ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಲಿ.
