Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
अमात्यो हि बलाद् भोक्तुं राजानं प्रार्थयेत यः । न स तिष्ठेच्चिरं स्थानं गच्छेच्च प्राणसंशयम्,जो मन्त्री राजाको बलपूर्वक अपने अधीन करना चाहता है, वह अधिक समयतक अपने पदपर नहीं टिक सकता। इतना ही नहीं, उसके प्राणोंपर भी संकट आ जाता है
amātyo hi balād bhoktuṁ rājānaṁ prārthayet yaḥ | na sa tiṣṭhec ciraṁ sthānaṁ gacchec ca prāṇasaṁśayam ||
ಧೌಮ್ಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಬಲಪ್ರಯೋಗದಿಂದ ರಾಜನನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಭೋಗಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುವ ಅಮಾತ್ಯನು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರನು; ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೂ ಅಪಾಯ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
