वैशम्पायन उवाच
Martial prowess does not sanctify a person: violating others’ wives and acting with a wicked mind is adharma, and such conduct leads to downfall and punishment.
Vaiśampāyana describes a man who was formidable in battle but morally corrupt—especially as a violator of others’ wives—and states that he has been slain by the Gandharvas as a consequence of his depravity.
