यत्र भागीरथी पुण्या सरस्यासीद्‌ युधिष्ठिर । यत्र सा ब्रह्मशालेति पुण्या ख्याता विशाम्पते

Transliteration

yatra bhāgīrathī puṇyā sarasyāsīd yudhiṣṭhira | yatra sā brahmaśāleti puṇyā khyātā viśāmpate ||

Translation

ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರ, ಪವಿತ್ರ ಭಾಗೀರಥೀ ಗಂಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸರೋವರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ, ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಶಾಲಾ’ ಎಂಬ ಪುಣ್ಯನಾಮದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
