Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
शूद्र मनोवांछित वस्तुएँ पाता है और ब्राह्मण इसका पाठ करे तो वह समस्त शास्त्रोंका पारंगत विद्वान होता है। जो मनुष्य तीर्थोके इस पुण्य माहात्म्यको प्रतिदिन सुनता है वह पवित्र हो पहलेके अनेक जन्मोंकी बातें याद कर लेता है और देहत्यागके पश्चात् स्वर्गलोकमें आनन्दका अनुभव करता है। भीष्म! मैंने यहाँ गम्य और अगम्य सभी प्रकारके तीर्थोंका वर्णन किया है ।। मनसा तानि गच्छेत सर्वतीर्थसमी क्षया । एतानि वसुभि: साध्यैरादित्यैर्मरुदश्विभि:
manasā tāni gacchet sarvatīrthasamīkṣayā | etāni vasubhiḥ sādhyair ādityair marud-aśvibhiḥ ||
ಪುಲಸ್ತ್ಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಆ ತೀರ್ಥಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದು; ಹಾಗೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಸರ್ವ ತೀರ್ಥದರ್ಶನದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಲಭಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ವಸುಗಳು, ಸಾಧ್ಯರು, ಆದಿತ್ಯರು, ಮರುತ್ತುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಶ್ವಿನರು ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಓ ಭೀಷ್ಮಾ! ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಗಮ್ಯವೂ ಅಗ್ಗಮ್ಯವೂ ಆದ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಧದ ತೀರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.”
