दमयन्त्याः व्याकुलता — स्वयंवरसंनिपातः — देवदूतयाचनम्

दृढायुधौ दूरपातौ युद्धे च कृतनिश्चयौ । शीघ्रहस्ती दृढकोधौ नित्ययुक्तो तरस्विनौ,“उनके आयुध दृढ़ हैं। वे दूरतक निशाना मारते हैं। युद्धके लिये उनका भी दृढ़ निश्चय है। वे दोनों ही बड़ी शीघ्रतासे हस्तसंचालन करते हैं। उनका क्रोध भी अत्यन्त दृढ़ है। वे सदा उद्योगशील और बड़े वेगवान् हैं
dṛḍhāyudhau dūrapātau yuddhe ca kṛtaniścayau | śīghrahastī dṛḍhakrodhau nityayukto tarasvinau ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— “ಅವರ ಆಯುಧಗಳು ದೃಢ; ಅವರು ದೂರದಿಂದಲೇ ಪ್ರಹಾರಿಸಬಲ್ಲರು; ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಅಚಲ. ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಅವರ ಕ್ರೋಧವೂ ಅಡಗದ ದೃಢ; ಅವರು ಸದಾ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿರುವ ಮಹಾವೇಗಿಗಳು.”
