उपातिष्ठत तद् वेश्म निर्मल सुमनोहरम् । सशड्कितमना राजन प्रत्युदूगच्छत तां निशि,नरश्रेष्ठ जनमेजय! महलके द्वारपर पहुँचकर वह ठहर गयी। उस समय द्वारपालोंने अर्जुनको उसके आगमनकी सूचना दी। तब सुन्दर नेत्रोंवाली उर्वशी रात्रिमें अर्जुनके अत्यन्त मनोहर तथा उज्ज्वल भवनमें उपस्थित हुई। राजन्! अर्जुन सशंक हृदयसे उसके सामने गये

ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಅವಳು ಆ ನಿರ್ಮಲ, ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮನೋಹರ ನಿವಾಸದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು. ರಾಜನೇ! ಸಂಶಯಭರಿತ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ನರಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಜನಮೇಜಯ! ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಂತಳು; ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರು ಅವಳ ಆಗಮನವನ್ನು ಫಾಲ್ಗುಣನಿಗೆ (ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ) ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಶುಭಲೋಚನೆ ಉರ್ವಶಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮನೋಹರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದಳು; ಅರ್ಜುನನೂ ಅಶಾಂತ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
