Gandharva Encounter
चचाल व्यनदच्चोर्वी तमोभूतं जगद् बभौ । ततस्तद् दारुणं दृष्टवा क्षुभित: शड्करस्तदा
cacāla vyanadac corvī tamobhūtaṁ jagad babhau | tatas tad dāruṇaṁ dṛṣṭvā kṣubhitaḥ śaṅkaras tadā ||
ಭೂಮಿ ನಡುಗಿ ಗರ್ಜಿಸಿತು; ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜಗತ್ತು ಕತ್ತಲಿನಿಂದ ಆವೃತವಾದಂತೆ ತೋರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಆ ದಾರುಣ ಅಪಶಕುನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಆಗ ಶಂಕರ (ಶಿವ) ಕ್ಷುಬ್ಧನಾದನು.
