मुखजेनाग्निना क्रुद्धों लोकानुद्)र्तयन्निव । क्षणेन राजशार्दूल पुरेव कपिल: प्रभु:
mukhajenāgninā kruddho lokān uddhartayann iva | kṣaṇena rājaśārdūla pureva kapilaḥ prabhuḥ ||
ಮಾರ್ಕಂಡೇಯನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಕ್ರುದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನೇ ದಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವನಂತೆ ಕಂಡನು. ಓ ರಾಜಶಾರ್ದೂಲ! ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಪ್ರಭು ಪುರಾತನ ಕಪಿಲನಂತೆಯೇ ಆದನು।
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights the terrifying potency of uncontrolled wrath, especially when joined to extraordinary power: anger can become world-consuming, threatening cosmic order and ethical balance.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes a powerful figure who, in sudden rage, appears to emit fire from his mouth and overwhelm the worlds, being compared to the ancient sage Kapila, famed in tradition for a destructive blaze born of ascetic might.
