असय: शक्तिकुलिशपाशर्धिकनपा: शरा: | पट्टिशाश्व भुशुण्ड्यश्व प्रपतन्त्यनिशं मयि
asayaḥ śaktikulīśapāśārdhikanapāḥ śarāḥ | paṭṭiśāś ca bhuśuṇḍyaś ca prapatanty aniśaṃ mayi ||
ವಾಸುದೇವನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಕತ್ತಿಗಳು, ಭಾಲಗಳು, ವಜ್ರಸಮಾನ ಆಯುಧಗಳು, ಪಾಶಗಳು, ಋಷ್ಟಿಗಳು, ಕನಪಗಳು, ಬಾಣಗಳು; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪಟ್ಟಿಶಗಳು, ಭುಶುಂಡಿಗಳು—ಇವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ವಿರಾಮವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದವು. ಹೀಗೆ ಶತ್ರುತೆಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ನಿರಂತರ ಶಸ್ತ್ರವೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಉಗ್ರವಾಗಿ, ಹಿಂಸೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮನಿಶ್ಚಯವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
