Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)
निर्मलानि शरीराणि विशुद्धानि शरीरिणाम् । ससर्ज धर्मतन्त्राणि पूर्वोत्पन्न: प्रजापति:
nirmalāni śarīrāṇi viśuddhāni śarīriṇām | sasarja dharmatantṛāṇi pūrvotpannaḥ prajāpatiḥ ||
ಮಾರ್ಕಂಡೇಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಮೊದಲು ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿಯು ದೇಹಧಾರಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಲವೂ ವಿಶುದ್ಧವೂ ಆದ ದೇಹಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದನು; ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಧರ್ಮದ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧ ತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು—ಧರ್ಮವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು—ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse links ethical order (dharma) with the very structure of creation: the primordial progenitor not only forms pure bodies for beings but also institutes dharma-frameworks, implying that moral law is foundational to life and society, not a later human invention.
Mārkaṇḍeya, speaking within his discourse, describes an early cosmogonic moment: Prajāpati, as the first-arisen creator, generates pure embodied forms and simultaneously sets up the governing systems of dharma that guide beings’ conduct and sustain order.
