विस्मयश्चैव मे वीर सुमहान् मनसोउद्य वै । यद् रामस्त्वयि पार्श्रस्थे स्वयं रावणमभ्यगात्,“वीर! आज मेरे मनमें इस बातको लेकर बड़ा आश्चर्य हो रहा है कि आपके निकट रहते हुए भी भगवान् श्रीरामने स्वयं ही रावणका सामना किया
vismayaś caiva me vīra sumahān manasodya vai | yad rāmas tvayi pārśvasthaḥ svayaṁ rāvaṇam abhyagāt ||
ವೀರನೇ! ಇಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದೆ—ನೀನು ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ರಾಮನು ಸ್ವತಃ ರಾವಣನನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಹೊರಟನು.
