तेन वित्रासिता नागा: करेणुपरिवारिता: । तद् वन॑ स परित्यज्य जम्मुरन्यन्महावनम्,भीमसेनकी उस गर्जनासे डरे हुए हाथी उस वनको छोड़कर हथिनियोंसे घिरे हुए दूसरे विशाल वनमें चले गये
tena vitrāsitā nāgāḥ kareṇu-parivāritāḥ | tad vanaṁ sa parityajya jagmur anyan mahāvanam ||
ಆ ಗರ್ಜನೆಯಿಂದ ಭೀತರಾದ ಆನೆಗಳು—ಹೆಣ್ಣಾನೆಗಳ ಪರಿವಾರದಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದವು—ಆ ಅರಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮಹಾವನಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದವು. ನೇರ ಸಮರವೇ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಭಯ ಮತ್ತು ಬಲ ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಸಮತೋಲನವನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಇದು ತೋರಿಸಿತು.
