सक्तचक्षुरभिप्रायान् हृदयेनानुचिन्तयन् । पुंस्कोकिलनिनादेषु षघट्पदाचरितेषु च
saktacakṣur abhiprāyān hṛdayenānucintayan | puṁskokilaninādeṣu ṣaṭpadācariteṣu ca
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಚಲವಾಗಿ ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ಮರುಮರು ಚಿಂತಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಗಂಡು ಕೋಗಿಲೆಗಳ ಕೂಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಜೇನುಹುಳುಗಳು ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಲೀನವಾಯಿತು.
