Kāleya-Āśrama-Vināśaḥ — The Kāleyas’ nocturnal raids and the devas’ supplication to Nārāyaṇa
चकार वजं भृशमुग्ररूप॑ं कृत्वा च शक्रं स उवाच हृष्ट: । अनेन वज्प्रवरेण देव भस्मीकुरुष्वाद्य सुरारिमुग्रम्
cakāra vajraṁ bhṛśam ugrarūpaṁ kṛtvā ca śakraṁ sa uvāca hṛṣṭaḥ | anena vajrapravareṇa deva bhasmīkuruṣvādya surārim ugraṁ ||
ಲೋಮಶನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಅವನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಉಗ್ರರೂಪದ ವಜ್ರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಶಕ್ರನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು—‘ದೇವಾ! ಈ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಜ್ರದಿಂದ ಇಂದು ದೇವರ ಭಯಂಕರ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ಭಸ್ಮಮಾಡು.’
