ऐरावणो<स्मात् सलिल॑ गृहीत्वा जगतो हित: । मेघेष्वामुज्चते शीतं यन्महेन्द्र: प्रवर्षति
airāvaṇo ’smāt salilaṁ gṛhītvā jagato hitaḥ | megheṣv āmuñcate śītaṁ yan mahendraḥ pravarṣati ||
ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಐರಾವಣನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನೀರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ತಣ್ಣನೆಯ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಘಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನಂತರ ಮಹೇಂದ್ರ (ಇಂದ್ರ) ಅದನ್ನೇ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
