Varuṇa-loka Darśana
मुहूर्तमरणास्त्वन्ये मानुषा मृगपक्षिण: । तैर्यग्योन्याक्ष॒ ये चान्ये जीवलोकचरास्तथा
muhūrtamaraṇās tv anye mānuṣā mṛgapakṣiṇaḥ | tairyyagyonīyākṣā ye cānye jīvalokacarās tathā ||
ಕಣ್ವನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಕೆಲವರು ಒಂದು ಮುಹೂರ್ತದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಮಾನವರು, ಮೃಗಗಳು, ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತಿರ್ಯಗ್ಯೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರೂ, ಜೀವಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಇತರ ಜೀವಿಗಳೂ ಅಂಥ ಶೀಘ್ರಮರಣವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ.
