Dhṛṣṭadyumna urges strategic and ethical prudence: when a warrior is divinely supported and effectively unconquerable by ordinary means, reckless aggression is folly; one should restrain the impulse toward war and weigh consequences.
In the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war deliberations, Dhṛṣṭadyumna warns others about Arjuna’s exceptional, god-supported martial power—especially his divine chariot and the Gāṇḍīva—counseling them not to fix their minds on fighting him as if he were an ordinary opponent.
