अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
न शक्ष्यामि परित्यागं कर्तु जीवन् कथंचन । यश्व कृत्स्नं रणे क्षत्रं विजेष्पति समागतम्
na śakṣyāmi parityāgaṃ kartuṃ jīvan kathaṃcana | yaś ca kṛtsnaṃ raṇe kṣatraṃ vijeṣyati samāgatam ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ನಾನು ಜೀವಂತಿರುವವರೆಗೆ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಲಾರೆ. ಮತ್ತು ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿರುವ ಈ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಜಯಿಸುವರೋ—ಅದೇ ಫಲವಾಗಲಿ.”
