शल्य उवाच ततस्तेन तथोक्ते तु प्रीता देवास्तथाब्रुवन् । ब्रह्मन् साथ्विवमुक्त ते हितं सर्वदिवौकसाम्
śalya uvāca | tatastena tathokte tu prītā devās tathābruvan | brahman sādhv idam ukta te hitaṃ sarvadivaukasām |
ಶಲ್ಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಅವನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಸಂತೋಷಗೊಂಡು ಹೀಗೆಂದರು—‘ಓ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ! ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ; ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರ ಹಿತವಿದೆ.’
