संहितापुस्तकान् राजन् प्रयतः सुसमाहित:ः । भक्ष्यैमल्यैश्न पेयैश्व कामैश्न विविधै: शुभ:
saṁhitāpustakān rājan prayataḥ susamāhitaḥ | bhakṣyaiḥ mālyaiś ca peyaiś ca kāmaiś ca vividhaiḥ śubhaiḥ ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಓ ರಾಜನೇ! ಸಂಯಮದಿಂದ, ಸುಸಮಾಹಿತ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಸಂಹಿತಾ-ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕು. ಉತ್ತಮ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯ, ಮಾಲ್ಯ, ಪಾನೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಶುಭ-ಕಾಮ್ಯ ದಾನಗಳಿಂದ, ಶುದ್ಧಚಿತ್ತದಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಬೇಕು.
