हर्षस्थानसहस्राणि भयस्थानशतानि च । दिवसे दिवसे मूढमाविशन्ति न पण्डितम्
harṣasthānasahasrāṇi bhayasthānaśatāni ca | divase divase mūḍham āviśanti na paṇḍitam ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ದಿನದಿಂದ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಢನನ್ನು ಹರ್ಷದ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಯದ ನೂರಾರು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳು ಆವರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಪಂಡಿತನನ್ನು ಮಣಿಸಲಾರವು।
