सो<5हं कितवमातेव द्वयोरपि महामते । एकस्य जयमाशंसे द्वितीयस्यापराजयम्‌

Transliteration

so 'haṃ kitavamāteva dvayor api mahāmate | ekasya jayam āśaṃse dvitīyasya aparājayam, mahāmate ||

Translation

ಮಹಾಮತೇ! ಇಬ್ಬರು ಜೂಜುಗಾರರ ತಾಯಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಜಯವನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿದರೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ಸೋಲನ್ನು ಬಯಸದಂತೆ, ನಾನು ಕೂಡ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸುಹೃದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ಅಪಜಯವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
