Chapter 81: Trust, Allies, and the Qualifications of the King’s Artha-Secretary (अर्थसचिव)
य एवं वर्तते नित्य॑ ज्ञातिसम्बन्धिमण्डले । मित्रेष्वमित्रे मध्यस्थे चिरं यशसि तिकछति,जो कुट॒म्बी, सगे-सम्बन्धी, मित्र, शत्रु तथा मध्यस्थ व्यक्तियोंकी मण्डलीमें सदा इसी नीतिसे व्यवहार करता है, वह चिरकालतक यशस्वी बना रहता है
ya evaṁ vartate nityaṁ jñāti-sambandhi-maṇḍale | mitreṣv amitre madhyasthé ciraṁ yaśasi tiṣṭhati ||
ಯಾವನು ಬಂಧು-ಬಳಗದ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ—ಮಿತ್ರರು, ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ—ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಇದೇ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅವನು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
